"Wizard of Oz" Opens on July 23rd

Plan to bring your children and grandchildren to the upcoming Winder-Barrow Community Theatre production of “The Wizard of Oz” based on the book by L. Frank Baum and dramatized by Anne Coulter Martens especially for children. This much loved story of Dorothy, Toto, Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Cowardly Lion traveling to find the Wizard will be a lot of fun for children of all ages.

Tickets are only $5 for children through age 12 and $10 for ages 13 and up. Make sure that you buy your tickets early in order to guarantee a seat. Tickets can be purchased by phone with credit card at Winder City Hall (there is a $3.00 service fee) at 770-867-3106. They can be purchased with cash or check at City Hall and also at Pam Veader’s State Farm Insurance Office at 41 S. Center Street in Winder (770-867-1679).

The show will be presented at the Colleen O. Williams Theater inside the Winder Cultural Arts Center at 105 E. Athens Street in Winder. Dates are Friday, July 23rd at 7:30 pm and Saturday, July 24th at 11:00 am and 7:30 pm.
